Meet Our Board

Our Board of Directors

Leitrim Organic Farmers Co-op is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors elected from within our membership. The Board brings together pioneers in organic farming with a wealth of experience in food systems, community development and co-operative governance. Their role is to provide strategic oversight, ensure accountability, and uphold the values of the co-operative model. Our Board plays a key role in shaping policy, approving major projects, and representing the voice of members at both local and national levels.

Secretary: Michael McManus

An organic producer from Carrick-on-Shannon, Michael was the first recipient in Leitrim of the Farming for Nature Ambassador Award, recognised for his biodiversity-rich land management and low-impact approach. He has also developed a natural skincare brand derived from a 17th-century sulphur well located on his farm.

Treasurer: Tommy Earley

An organic farmer and biodiversity educator, Tommy runs Mount Allen Eco Tours, a sustainability-focused ecotourism project offering educational visits on habitat restoration, bog conservation, moth trapping, and rewilding.
